Västmanland’s hospital in Västerås has worked with sustainability and environment for a long time. One policy is to be environmentally friendly and the demands to achieve these goals are very high. That’s one of many reasons to why Västmanland’s hospital in Västerås chose to use Aura Light’s sustainable lighting solutions for 27 years.

Longer time between the changes

Västmanland’s hospital in Västerås is a big hospital which needs good lighting. One wish was to change the light sources less often.

“I wasn’t there when Västmanland’s hospital in Västerås chose to change to Aura Light, but what I do know is that we wanted to change the light sources less often and Aura Light was the only one meeting these demands. Today we have almost the whole assortment from Aura Light in the hospital and we are very happy with it”, says Kent Mathisen Electrician at Västmanland’s hospital in Västerås.

Focus on environment

Västmanland’s hospital in Västerås has worked with environment for a long time and one of the main focuses is to be more energy efficient.

“It is important to have a product with a long lifetime and to remove the mercury from the lamps. One policy in the county is to be environmentally friendly and the demands are very high. Aura Light was the only one who could meet these demands”, says Kent Mathisen.

Kent Mathisen thinks that the biggest change for Aura Light was the launch of Aura Eco Long Life which is more environmentally friendly. Another important change was the lower wattages, which saves a lot of energy.

“We get a lower wattage with the same light, which is perfect.”
