Aura Light acquires luminaire company Zobra
The Swedish lighting company Aura Light has acquired Zobra, a Swedish company that develops and manufactures luminaires for public areas. This acquisition is an important step for the company to become a complete supplier of energy efficient lighting solutions.
Zobra develops, manufactures and markets luminaires with good design for public areas. The company offers a wide range of luminaires and focuses on innovative product design. Zobra’s Head Office is situated in Vimmerby in Sweden where they also have their production. The company has been growing rapidly the recent years and has received external acknowledgement for their performance.
”We look forward to being a part of the Aura Light group and to supplement their range with our products and our expertise in luminaires. We are two companies that together offer our customers total lighting solutions and high-quality lighting”, says Michael Engstrand, CEO Zobra AB.
Today Aura Light offers an extensive product portfolio with Long Life light sources, LED, luminaires and lighting control. In 2012 Aura Light acquired IQ Sensortech, one of Sweden’s leading suppliers of lighting control. Zobra acquired Noral 2010, which is a strong brand within outdoor luminaires.
“This acquisition of Zobra is an important part of Aura Light’s growth strategy and we have seen an increased demand of complete lighting solutions amongst our customers. This is important for us in being a complete lighting supplier, offering light sources, lighting control systems and luminaires of the highest quality”, says Martin Malmros, CEO Aura Light International AB.
